On meeting Martha

I am on my way to The Martha Stewart Show.

A few weeks ago, on a whim, I sent in a request for two tickets. I was able to commandeer a ticket for today, which is extremely fast. The Rachel Ray show took almost one year to send me an invite.

I am going by myself, taking the train in town to the Path Station in Hoboken and then cross the river to the 23rd Path Station.

Imagine my surprise when I realized I would be one block west of Eataly. Yes, that wonderful, must see, brainchild of Lidia and Mario. I did not think I would ever walk into that market. I have 90 minutes to kill before they will even let us into the TV studio and I think I can figure out what to do for an hour, don't you? I am more excited about Eataly than Martha.

From Eataly it's 3 blocks north and 3 blocks east to get to the studio. Could not be any easier.

I am not allowed to take pics during the actual taping but I can take them before and after.
I wish I knew what date it would air but they don't tell you that ahead of time unless they are looking for specific audience members (like the show about everyone over 80).

Typical Martha, they have very specific requests for clothing, shoes and attitude. They dangle the "if you do this there is a good chance you MAY get on TV" card.

I will be wearing my best Preppie look.

The weather looks to be perfect for walking around NYC. The Nudge was supposed to go with me but his boss flew in for a visit and that nixed that.

I miss going into New York. When we lived in Lyndhurst (Giant Stadium) we were there every weekend.

I will tell you all about it tomorrow. I hope I get to meet an interesting chef or maybe a famous actor.

Have a great day!!
